WebJan 15, 2008 · The electrician fitted an outside 2 gang light switch, with no lights attached, as I was going to do that at a later date. So I opened it, and there was 2 cables. Both cables neutral went to a terminal block. Both cables earth went to the earth block on the switch. One cables live (mains in) went to the common on one gang Web20. 16K views 4 years ago. WebMay 18, 2024 · terrymac Screwfix Select If the cable size that you introduce into the lighting circuit ,going to the mirror ,is the same as the circuit cable ( likely 1mm² or 1.5mm² ),then the 6 amp MCB Is all that's required ,there is no regulatory requirement to introduce a fused connection unit. As for other regulations ,that's a different matter altogether. WebNov 28, 2024 · There’s also a single switch in the hallway which operates the same hallway lights. As well as the hallway lights, the double switch operates the external lights outside the front of the house. The yellow insulated copper conductor may have snapped . Its a live conductor ,not an earth.
